I love to make beautiful things. I am also a packrat.
While some people might easily throw away worn-out or unused clothing, I saved our favorites because I knew that I could use them for something. How could I get rid of the short green skirt that I wore when my husband and I dated? He loved the way I looked in that skirt. True, it didn't fit any more, but I couldn't part with it. By using the skirt for our stockings, I preserved those memories in a unique way.
Now that I have completed a stocking for each family member, I have started looking for other ways to recycle our old denims. If you would like to know more about some of the other projects I have made with recycled denim, let me know.
